CreativeFlow is a Figma plugin that exports animations, allowing designers to animate without needing to learn After Effects or other complex software.
Over 12 weeks, I designed a dashboard interface that expanded beyond the current plugin's single-window state. We went from a pop-up to a fully designed timeline!
This project was completed via the SHUMKA Centre for Creative Entrepreneurship and their Designing for Startups program.

SCOPE
My primary goal was to create a clickable prototype that showed users how their animations were being built.
The existing plug-in was essentially an export button with no way of showing users what made up their animations nor the ability to edit them within the plugin.

RESULT
RESULT
I ended up creating a fully interactive dashboard in Figma that allowed for zooming in and out on the timeline, nested animations, and timeline visualization.

RESEARCH
I've spent a majority of my life working in timeline based software. From Windows Movie Maker to Unreal, I've used it all and was pretty familiar going into this project with what elements were and were not intuitive.
A big source of inspiration for my design was mobile-based editing platforms such as TikTok and Instagram Reels. These apps were doing exactly what we wanted to do — taking a complex system and distilling it into its easiest parts.
